We're hiring for the following positions to join the Carolina Air Care team: - Paramedic - Ground Advanced Life Support Transport - Paramedic - Ground Critical Care Transport - RN Clinical Nurse II - Pediatric Transport Team - RN Clinical Nurse II - Adult Ground Critical Care Transport - Respiratory Therapist II - Pediatric Transport Team *Select experienced RN positions positions qualify for our UNC Hospitals RN Incentive Program, which includes up to $20,000 in commitment incentives or up to $25,000 in tuition loan forgiveness, as well as up to $10,000 in relocation assistance (based on location) and our employee referral program. Qualifications: Paramedic - Ground Advanced Life Support Transport: - High school diploma or GED - NC Emergency Medical Technician--Paramedic or National Equivalent with ability to obtain NC Paramedic within 30 days of hire - National Registry Paramedic -Preferred for in-state but required within 12 months of hire - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - Pediatric Life Support (PALS) certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certification - ITLS / PHTLS required within one year. - Valid NC Driver's license in good standing or able to obtain prior to start* NC, VA, SC and TN are all acceptable - One (1) to three (3) years of experience as an EMT-Basic or similar Paramedic - Ground Critical Care Transport: - High School diploma or GED - North Carolina EMT--Paramedic certification or National Equivalent with ability to obtain NC Paramedic within 30 days of hire - National Registry Paramedic -Preferred for in-state but required within 12 months of hire - Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) provider certification - Basic Life Support (BLS) provider certification - Trauma certification such as ITLS, PHTLS or TNCC - Professional certification required with 18 months of hire - includes CCEMT-P (preferred), FPC, or CCP-C - Valid NC Driver's license in good standing or able to obtain prior to start* NC, VA, SC and TN are all acceptable - Three (3) years of Paramedic experience in a high volume ALS-EMS service or equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experienced RN: - Graduation from a school of professional nursing - If hired after January 6, 2014, must be enrolled within four years of employment, and obtain a Bachelor's degree with a major in Nursing or a Master's degree with a major in Nursing within seven years of employment date - Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina - Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification - One (1) year of nursing experience. Respiratory Therapist II - Pediatric Transport Team: - Graduation from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program - Licensed as a Respiratory Care Practitioner by the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board. Must be registered (RRT) by the National Board of Respiratory Care. BLS on hire. Must have either ACLS-Adults, NRP - NICU, PALS - PICU/Rex, CPFT - PFT, Advanced Practice certificate to administer moderate sedation in the Bronchoscopy Lab. Must maintain certification annually. -Two (2) years of experience as a Respiratory Therapist - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret clinical information and technical procedures. Ability to document clinical information. Ability to effectively communication information and respond to questions from patients, physicians, family members, and other staff. Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Reasoning ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical situations.
