The North Carolina Association of Rescue and Emergency Medical Services, Inc. (hereafter referred to as the NCAR&EMS) collects only the information that is essential for determining eligibility and for scoring scholarship applications. The data that we collect is encrypted before it is sent over the internet to where it is stored until it can be transferred to the NCAR&EMS office server, which is behind a firewall and inaccessible from the internet.
The NCAR&EMS does not share data with any other organizations, except where required by the State of North Carolina. The NCAR&EMS does not sell your information, nor does it provide or make available mailing lists to third parties.
The NCAR&EMS requires social security numbers because, unfortunately, they are the only reliable identifier we have available to uniquely identify individuals.
Your privacy is of the utmost importance to the NCAR&EMS. Your private information will be safeguarded and will not be made available to any third party.
