H&Ts of the new protocols - medic5872 - 2017-08-17 06:30 PM

As you may or may not know, there were some changes to the 2017 Protocols. There has been a great deal of discussion in my department regarding the use of Narcan and Sodium Bicarbonate in cardiac arrest. The AC3 Protocol doesn't recommend the use of Narcan, nor does most of the research out there. However AC1 does give the option. Sodium Bicarbonate hasn't been recommended in years, yet many argue that it falls under the hydrogen ion (acidosis) area.

I have done research on both but I wanted to really see what others think and most important are doing within their systems. Any information would be helpful, but I am really looking more for evidence based/research related answer than opinions.
